Back in those days the job of a kid was to be a kid:
Only job requirement: Go outside and play!
Your mom didn't know where you were and it was okay!
You played ball in the morning and through the afternoon
Two guys would throw a bat and then choose up sides
Rules included Right Field Out, Pitcher's Hands Out
|
When you weren't playing you were looking for a game, riding around with your glove looped over the handlebars of your bike, and when you found a game
You didn't play on an official field
You didn't wear a uniform
And your moms didn't see you play!
